For Windows 10 & 11
Copy text you can't select — even while the video's playing.
Drag a box over any text on your screen — lecture videos, subtitles, locked PDFs, live dashboards — and watch it get copied out in real time. Works just like Snipping Tool. Nothing new to learn.

See it in 30 seconds
Three steps. No setup.
Drag a box
Press Ctrl+Alt+Z or click New Capture, then drag a selection box around the text — exactly like the Windows Snipping Tool.
Watch it read, live
Text streams into the window as it's recognized. Point it at scrolling subtitles or a changing dashboard and it keeps reading as the content updates.
Export anywhere
Copy to clipboard, save as .txt, or save as a formatted .docx. Every session is kept in your history too.
Built for the text you actually can't get to
Live capture, not a snapshot
Works while video plays, subtitles scroll, or dashboards update — you get a running transcript, not one frozen frame.
One drag to start
The same box-select gesture you already know from Snipping Tool. Nothing new to learn.
Instant hotkey, your choice
One keystroke starts a capture from anywhere — even minimized to the tray. Ctrl+Alt+Z by default, or set your own combo in Settings so it fits how you work, not the other way around.
Export anywhere
Clipboard, plain .txt, or a properly formatted .docx — whatever your next step needs.
Capture history
Every session is saved locally so you can come back to something you captured yesterday.
100% offline
OCR runs entirely on your PC using Windows' own engine. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked.

Questions
Can I use this for lecture recordings or online classes?
Yes. Point it at a recorded lecture on Zoom, Panopto, YouTube, or your school's LMS, and it reads captions or on-screen text live as the video plays — no pausing every few seconds to copy something down.
Does this work with Netflix, Disney+, or other streaming video?
Not for the video content itself — Windows blocks screenshots of DRM-protected playback at the OS level, and that applies to every screen-capture tool, not just this one. Regular video (YouTube, local files, most livestreams), subtitles, and on-screen UI text all capture fine.
Is my data private?
Yes. Text recognition runs entirely on your device using Windows' built-in OCR engine. Nothing is uploaded, no accounts, no tracking. See the full Privacy Policy.
What languages does it support?
Whatever OCR language packs you have installed in Windows (Settings > Time & Language > Language). Most Windows installs already include English out of the box.
Is this a subscription?
No. $24 once, and it's yours — no recurring charges, no expiration.
